About
Method, not adjectives
We move households and small businesses across the IG postcodes — Goodmayes, Gants Hill, Barking and the Woodfords — out to the rest of the UK, and by road into four European countries.
Why the survey exists
An instant figure comes from two postcodes and a bedroom count. In Ilford that is almost never enough: loft conversions and side returns are everywhere, the halls are narrow, and most streets are permit-controlled. So the figure gets revised — on the morning, upward, when you have no alternative.
Surveying first is slower and costs us something. It is also the only way a quote means anything, which is why there is no calculator on this site.
Why the coverage list reaches Barking and Woodford
Because both carry real work of their own and both border us. It is still a list we can stand behind rather than half of east London — and where a move belongs to somebody else's patch, our coverage page names them.
One crew, both ends
The people who survey your property load it and unload it. No subcontractor chain, no depot handover. On a move across the borough that matters less; on a run to Yorkshire or the Algarve it matters more than anything else here.
The limits
No house clearance or waste carriage — different trade, different licence. No gas, plumbing or hard-wired disconnection; that needs a qualified engineer. Upright pianos yes, grands to a specialist. Cars on transporters.
The other Ilford sites
Our network has two other Ilford removals sites. They read and look nothing like this one, and none of us pretends otherwise. If you have landed on more than one, read them all — and ask us directly if the difference matters to you.
Four things we are not claiming
Most removals sites carry a strip of trust signals near the top. Ours does not, and this is the section explaining why rather than a gap we hoped nobody would notice.
- No ratings
- We have not collected reviews. A score we could not substantiate would undercut the only thing this site claims.
- No badges
- Association marks are easy to place and hard for a customer to verify. We display none we have not earned.
- No year count
- A number proves nothing about whether your wardrobe arrives intact.
- No borrowed logos
- The strip of company marks under so many hero sections is decoration. Ours would be too.
Ilford Removals is a new name. The honest way to earn a reputation is to do the work and let it accumulate.
That is the whole pitch
